Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes that Xabi Alonso would be a great successor for Jurgen Klopp.
"Right now, if you look at the Premier League and Europe and think about who Liverpool could use, you can't miss Xabi Alonso, my former teammate. He looks like perhaps the brightest young coach in European football, there is no doubt about that.
He is very well respected in Liverpool for what he did as a player. He won the Champions League, he also won the World Cup. He played under Rafa Benitez, Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti. Just look at what Alonso is doing at Bayer Leverkusen, which is competing with Bayern Munich," Carragher said.
