Poland hosted the traditional annual ceremony to honour the country's best football figures for 2023 according to the renowned weekly Piłka Nożna.
Marek Papshun, who at the end of the 2022/23 season led Raków to the title of Polish champion for the first time in the club's history, was recognised as the best Polish coach of last year.
After receiving the prize, the 49-year-old said that he will resume his coaching career in the near future.
"This award made me think and summarise. And this is the conclusion I came to: it's time to end my holiday and return to work. Time is running out. What club am I going to go to? If I knew, I'd tell you. But for now I can honestly say that I don't know. Basically, I am now considering foreign destinations," - said the coach.
Recall, Papshun since last summer remains unemployed. In autumn, the media reported that the Polish specialist is interested in Dynamo Kyiv and Shakhtar Donetsk.
