In turn, this has affected the financial component, namely, caused damage and deprived the potential profit.
The amount of losses, according to Super League functionaries, is in the billions of euros. A separate item is also considered the profit that could have been from the television rights to show the tournament. The amount of losses is estimated to be up to 1.2 billion euros.
But that's not all. The Super League management also considers the losses of "sponsors' contributions", implying that the financial injection could have been greater, by at least 10 per cent, if the tournament had been launched on time.
