Last night, 22 February, Inter Miami played the first game of the new MLS season.
The club from Miami defeated Real Salt Lake with a score of 2:0. However, most of all this match was remembered for a scandalous episode involving Lionel Messi.
At the end of the first half, the Argentine decided to continue the game, seeing that his opponent lay injured on the lawn. However, Messi not only did not stop the attack, but also decided to beat the lying opponent, throwing the ball over him. In the end, the attack ended only after a blocked shot, which was struck just by Messi.
Many fans were outraged by the Argentine's behaviour, accusing him of a lack of fair-play.
