The head coach of Obolon Kyiv, Valeriy Ivashchenko, commented on the news that spectators will return to the stands at Ukrainian league matches.
- This is very good news. Back in the day, Valeriy Lobanovsky said that football is a theatre, and theatre is impossible without spectators. We want to play for the fans, they come to cheer and inspire the team. That's why we always want to thank them for their support. Our fans are the 12th player who always gives a positive charge, it motivates the players on the pitch to demonstrate quality and effective football.
However, first of all, we are grateful to our military, thanks to whom we have the opportunity to play football in our country. If it were not for them, there would be no fans in the stands or our players on the pitch," Ivashchenko was quoted as saying on the Brewers' website.
