The president of Kharkiv's Metalist 1925, Volodymyr Nosov, told us why he chose Viktor Skrypnyk as the team's new head coach.
- For me personally, there was only one candidate. We understood that in order to achieve our goals, our team needed a coach who, firstly, understands the Ukrainian mentality and football realities. And secondly, he has undoubted consistency and practice in Europe. In the case of Viktor Skrypnyk, we got much more - a specialist with really great results, because in a short time he led Zorya and Vorskla's second team to the cup competitions.
For me, this is an absolute match. I have confidence in him, and I believe that he is the right person to help Metalist 1925 represent Kharkiv in the Champions League. He is a Ukrainian with a Ukrainian mentality, but with a European outlook and experience," Nosov told the club's press service.
