It is with great pleasure that I congratulate one of the best pupils of the Dynamo Kyiv school during the period of independence, not only a brilliant player and an outstanding defender, but also a real fan favourite.
You have won many trophies at the national level and left a bright mark on the Ukrainian national team, with which you made it to the quarter-finals of the 2006 FIFA World Cup. However, perhaps even more importantly, millions of football fans have applauded your play over the years and still remember your raids on the left side of Dynamo and the national team with great fondness.
I wish you happiness, health, prosperity and peace. May you have good luck and never run out of faith in yourself!
