In the latter case, the referee did not stop the game after Lazio forward Castellanos was injured. In addition, it is believed that Di Bello lost control of the match by showing six yellow cards to Milan players.
Interestingly, this is the 42-year-old referee's second disqualification this season. For the first time, Di Bello was sanctioned for the Juventus vs Bologna match in Round 2, when he failed to award a penalty against the Old Lady after a foul against Dan Ndoye.
