Dynamo head coach Oleksandr Shovkovskyi shared his emotions on UPL.TV after the match of the 20th round of the Ukrainian championship against Veres.
- Mr Oleksandr, Dynamo lost the victory in the last minutes...
- Unfortunately, yes. It is always very unpleasant to lose a victory in the last minutes. But this is football, and I want to say that today we did not play for victory. We had our chances, we could have realised them, but I saw more desire in the opponent than in us.
- Have you had time to watch the penalty shootout?
- No, I haven't watched it yet. I'll watch it later, because now my emotions are getting in the way.
- Nevertheless, is Dynamo gaining momentum in the spring?
- Spring football is difficult, everyone in the team is physically ready. Today, unfortunately, we lost a lot of battles. In order to win such matches, we need to be more focused and stronger. There are certain problems. Unfortunately, today our bench was small, especially in the middle of the pitch. There are injured players, disqualified players.
We understood that the opponent would play long passes to tall players in the last minutes. But the mistakes... I'm not talking about the penalty itself, but how we lost the ball. We could have easily brought the game to victory.
