Recall that last year the 24-year-old footballer, born in the Netherlands, expressed his desire to take the citizenship of Suriname to get the opportunity to play for the national team of this country.

Apparently, such plans Lonwijk managed to implement, as his name is on the list of players who are called to the camp of the Surinamese national team for a friendly match with the national team of Martinique, which will be held on 24 March in the Dutch city of Almere. This is reported by the Suriname Football Federation.

Lonwijk has played for the Netherlands U-19 national team at national team level, playing six matches.
