This week there are matches of the 21st round of the Ukrainian championship of the season-2023/24. Dynamo Kyiv and Zorya Luhansk met in one of them on Tuesday, 12 March. The match was held in Kyiv at the Dynamo stadium named after Valeriy Lobanovskiy.

Taking into account the extremely experimental Zorya squad in this match, there was nothing surprising in the fact that Dynamo transferred the game to the Luhansk team's half of the pitch from the starting whistle. But in the first half of the first half from all the events that occurred at the gates of the guests, we can note only a long-range and very strong shot of Brazhko, which was coped with by Saputin. At the same time, Ndur in one of Zorya's counterattacks made a dangerous shot from the penalty line, and Buschan was forced to throw the game to the corner.
But the Dynamo players converted their next goal moment into a goal - on the 30th minute of the match Vivcharenko delivered the ball directly to Vanatu's feet in the Zorya penalty area with a beautiful pass across the pitch, and he opened the scoring with a shot from the corner of the goalkeeper's box - 1:0.
Having achieved success, Dynamo did not slow down the pace and desire to attack, but the game did not change in its essence: although it was still held on Zorya's half of the pitch, but there was no sharpness at Saputin's goal. The only thing to note is an episode that occurred in the 43rd minute of the match: Kabaev broke into the Luhansk side's penalty area from the right flank, gave it to Vanata, who in a stretch completed the pass from close range, but sent the ball close to the near post.
The second half also passed with full advantage of Dynamo, however, as in the first half, Kyivians rarely brought their actions to the actual sharpness. But of course, there were goal scoring chances at Zorya's gates. First of all, it is impossible not to mention Vivcharenko's long-range shot, after which the ball whistled over the crossbar. A few minutes later, Shepelev played on the rebound after a corner kick, and Saputin covered the ball on the very line of his goal. And in the 74th minute of the match Karavaev, after Voloshin's pass, shot header from the goalkeeper's line, but Saputin, showing a brilliant reaction, saved Zorya from a sure goal.
Dynamo continued to attack relentlessly and on the 85th minute of the match finally developed their success - Andriyevskyi served from a free kick and Popov, having won the fight in the air, sent the ball into the goal - 2:0.
After this victory Dynamo scored 38 points, still occupies the fourth place in the championship standings and is 2 points behind the leading Shakhtar.
The next round of the Ukrainian championship will be held after the pause for the national team matches. Within its framework Dynamo will have a guest match with Poltava Vorskla. This meeting will take place on Sunday, 31 March, in Poltava at the stadium "Vorskla" named after Alexey Butovsky (kick-off - at 15:30).
