Oleksandr Denysov, Polissya's Director of Marketing, Media and Sponsorship, commented on the resignation of the team's head coach Yuriy Kalytyntsev yesterday.
- The fact that Yuriy Kalytyntsev resigned came as a big surprise to us. The club was definitely not preparing a replacement for him. It happened as it happened. The man felt so tired. He did not cling to his chair and took such a principled step by resigning on his own.
This is a difficult situation for Gennadiy Butkevych as well. You have seen in numerous interviews that he trusted Kalitvintsev, really believed that he would be able to get through this testing moment in the UPL. It is also a shock and stress for him. The first losses at the beginning of the second part of the season, a person comes and says he can't do it anymore. For Gennady Butkevich, this is a very difficult situation. However, he saw that Kalitvintsev really couldn't handle this story psychologically right now.
First, we had a telephone conversation with the president, where the coach announced his decision. Yesterday we had a face-to-face meeting and shook hands. Kalytyntsev said goodbye to the team and as of today he is no longer in the Polissia squad," Denysov told UPL.TV.
