Shakhtar players Dmytro Kryskiv and Artem Bondarenko told TaToTaka about the reasons that prevented them from flying with the Ukrainian Olympic team to Japan.
Dmytro KryskivDmytro Kryskiv: "It so happens that I played 4 games in 12 days. And in the second half with "Karpaty" felt the calf muscle. I went to MRI. Diagnosis: oedema with damage. Now I`m in Kyiv, I`m recovering with a rehabilitator".
Artem Bondarenko: "I have been feeling back pain for a long time. Now it is more inflamed than always. We decided that if because of this problem I will not be able to play at 100 per cent - it should be healed during the break. The match with Karpaty showed that the pain hinders. The team got a few days off, and I undergo daily treatments. I should add that I have a very warm relationship with the coaching staff of the Olympic team. If I was ready - I would go with the team with great pleasure".
