Former Dynamo coach Jozsef Szabo expressed his opinion on the large number of injured players of the Ukrainian national team after the decisive matches of the Euro 2024 qualifying round.

Injuries in football have always been, are and will be. But in my entire coaching career, I don't remember so many of my players getting injured at the same time, even though we gave them decent workloads.
Didn't Rebrov overwork them? I don't know, we can only guess. But it seems to me that the players simply did not prepare for training in clubs and did not have a good warm-up. After the national team, they came relaxed.
As for the colds of Mykolenko and Zubkov, they are young guys, maybe they didn't calculate the weather somewhere or drank water from the fridge. This may be enough to make them sick. But they will recover quickly after a cold, while Yaremchuk and Malinowski will miss about two to three weeks due to muscle injuries.
It was clear from the national team's matches that Malinowski was in a very bad state, so he was replaced against Iceland. He was just no good, he lost his form.
Yaremchuk played well against Bosnia. As for Zubkov, he is not the main man, Tsygankov plays on the right when he is healthy. In these positions, we have a good selection of players, the only loss is Mykolenko. I don't see anyone to replace him. I hope all our players will be fit for the Euro," said Sabo.
