Zhytomyr Polissya striker Pylyp Budkivskyi was injured in a game episode of the 23rd round of the Ukrainian Championship match against Zakarpattia's Minaj. In the struggle for the ball, Pylyp and the opposing defender bumped heads.
As a result of the injury, Pylyp Budkivsky was taken by ambulance to hospital where he underwent an additional examination - a computed tomography scan. After the match, Pylyp and his team returned to Zhytomyr by train.
On the morning of 9 April, the club's medical staff received extended examination results and can state that Pylyp suffered a fracture of the maxillary sinus in his face.
