Italian Bologna, having drawn with Udinese (1:1) in yesterday's match of the Italian championship, guaranteed themselves a ticket to the European Cup next season.
At the end of this season Italy delegates 8 teams to the European cups (5 - in the Champions League, 2 - in the Europa League, 1 - in the Conference League). "Bologna" four rounds before the end of Serie A is in fourth place, ahead of going ninth "Napoli" on 13 points. Thus, the Red-Blues will not drop below eighth place.
Moreover, Bologna retain an excellent chance of qualifying for next season's Champions League, as the team is now separated from the Europa League zone by as many as six points.
We would like to add that Bologna will play in the European Cup for the first time since 2002.
