The clubs of the English Premier League held a vote on the introduction of a ceiling on expenditure and the majority of votes in favour of this initiative, reports BBC.
Only three clubs - Manchester City, Manchester United and Aston Villa - were opposed. Another club, Chelsea, abstained.
The cost ceiling concept will be presented in June this year.
