Under McKenna's leadership, Ipswich sensationally earned promotion to the English Premier League after a season in the Championship, having played in the third division just a year ago.
In addition to McKenna, the Seagulls are considering Nice head coach Francesco Farioli, who was previously De Zerbi's assistant at Sassuolo. Another option is the potential return of Graham Potter.
