- Oleksandr, what helped you win today?
- When preparing for the match, we realised that we would not play with the first team. I was preparing the guys to be professional in their duties. We had planned substitutions in advance, because we needed to give playing time to players who hadn't played much. They needed to feel that they were also members of our big family.
Then there were substitutions according to the situation. Bilovar missed a lot of games, he was ill, his illness was difficult, and his recovery was not easy. We let him play a little in the last match. Today he came out from the starting minutes, but we understood that he would not be able to play the whole match. It was also necessary to give playing time to Diallo and Benito.
But each team solves its own issues. We solved ours - we set the players up for the game, for the fight. In the first half, something went wrong. After the match, I thanked the guys for their professionalism. We will continue to prepare with this attitude.
- You took over the team in the middle of the season. Are you satisfied with your work?
- Whether I'm satisfied or not doesn't matter. There is a certain result, there is the opinion of the fans, there is the opinion of the president of our club. But I believe that out of 20 matches, losing only 1 game and drawing 2 is a pretty good result, even a championship result. If not for the technical defeat (of Oleksandriya in the match against Shakhtar), we would have had the Golden Match now.
