UAF President Andriy Shevchenko summarized the results of the Ukrainian national team's friendly matches ahead of Euro 2024.
- "It hurts us a lot that we cannot play in Ukraine, but I am grateful to other countries, especially Poland, for providing us with their football homes. I thanked everyone involved in the organization of these matches, everything was at a high level. And special thanks to the fans who filled the stadiums. There are many Ukrainians living in Poland, so the atmosphere during both matches in Wroclaw was exciting and inspiring for our players.
This year we are celebrating the 130th anniversary of Ukrainian football, and it all started with the Lviv vs Krakow match. It is very symbolic and emphasizes the good relations between our countries. Also, the matches of our national teams are of great football importance, because they are an important element in the preparation of both teams for the Euro," Shevchenko said in an interview with Sportowe Fakty.
