Ukraine forward Roman Yaremchuk shared his thoughts on the potential of the Ukrainian team before the start of Euro 2024.
- The organization, the way we were greeted, the security - you can feel it all, so it's a pleasant excitement.
We have a very strong team now, but I don't want to say too much before such a tournament, because the best teams in Europe come to this tournament.
I believe that every team believes that they will get out of the group, that they will go as far as possible. We need to focus, talk less and try to move from match to match, because the last Euro was a lesson for us.
We lost the first match, and I think the first match is the most important, because if you perform well, you can get good confidence and move very far.
- You are one of the leaders in the team. Do you see any changes in the team for the Euros now that everyone has arrived?
- Of course, there are changes. It's good that Yarmolenko and Stepanenko have returned to the national team, because they were not present at the last training camp.
There is a combination of youth and experience. There are players who play in Europe, there are players who already have quite a lot of experience in the Ukrainian national team.
The coach has a fairly large selection, so I think the national team is now fully equipped - physically, emotionally, tactically, all our plans are very good now.
