Romania head coach Edward Iordanescu commented on the defeat of his team from Belgium (0:2) in yesterday's match of the 2nd round of the group stage of Euro 2024.

The Belgian national team is a very quality team: it has speed, explosiveness, power. It is a complete team. Belgium is a candidate to win the title of European champion. But we did not give up, we fought. It was very hard.
In the second half we started to play better and, I think, we really competed with Belgium. If we were lucky, we could have clung to a draw. We had chances to equalize. But overall, we did not manage to play the way we wanted.
Now my team and I are waiting for a big analysis of this game. But already now we can say that today, unlike the match with Ukraine, there was a lot of struggle.
We always want to be better, so now we will improve. I believe in our team before the third match in the group. We have all the qualities to solve the problem of getting out of the group.
This is the most difficult group at Euro 2024. But now we are leading in it and now we count only on our game. It's time to see how strong we are and how we will manage to overcome this decisive moment," Iordanescu said after the match against Belgium.
