Today, July 18, the U-19 national team of Ukraine played its second match in the final tournament of the European Under-19 Championship (players not older than 2005) in 2024.

The match began with an offensive by the Norwegians, who had a chance to open the scoring in the 4th minute, but our goalkeeper managed to turn Sander Kielen's shot into the post. The opponent continued to put pressure, and Vladyslav Krapyvtsov worked in the goal with maximum load, saving the Ukrainian team time and time again.
In the 21st minute, unfortunately, Mykola Ogarkov was injured, and Ivan Yermachkov came on instead. Five minutes later, Sander Kielen had another chance, but this time the Ukrainians were saved by the bar.
After the break, the Blue and Yellows also created chances. In the 50th minute, Taras Mykhavko's cross from the left flank flew into the far corner of the goal, so the Norwegian goalkeeper had to save his teammates. Subsequently, Bogdanov and Vashchenko threatened the goal.
At the end of the match, both teams had chances to win. However, Honsted's header after a pass from the left flank went past the near post. Instead, in the third compensated minute, Vashchenko scored from the left flank over the goal. The result was a zero-zero draw, the second in a row for Ukraine (we will remind, in the first round of the championship, the "blue and yellows" played with Northern Ireland with the same score).
We would like to add that Northern Ireland - Italy will play in the second match in Group A today.
