Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has admitted that the previous season was the most difficult for him in his career.
Eric ten Hag- When we went on vacation, nothing was known about my future. I had one more year left on my contract. However, I felt that the management was communicating less with me, and this was a factor of uncertainty.
I just went on vacation, did my job. We professionally prepared the last details for the new season. And then I was away from the situation because it was a very difficult season. Definitely the hardest season I've ever experienced as a coach.
You have to stay focused all the time, but towards the end of the season I was getting tired. To face it, we were losing too many games. It takes strength to keep the team focused and motivated every time. The players are disappointed, the people around them are disappointed," said Erik ten Hag.
