Partizan Belgrade CEO Milos Vazura reacted to the statement of Dynamo Kyiv about canceling all bilateral events for the first match between the two clubs in the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League.
"What did we deserve such an unsportsmanlike attitude? Our country did not refuse to recognize the territorial integrity of this country.
I think in response we should ask, and what did Ukraine do in due time in connection with the NATO aggression against our country? And given the answer to this question, what should we do now and how should we react to what is happening?
Why does someone put themselves on the pedestal of a moral judge and judge on this basis the deeds and behavior of the Serbs, while giving us lessons without any arguments! Have they ever condemned this aggression or distanced themselves from the crimes committed against us?
And why does such judgment and condemnation extend to sports? This has no place in a sporting event. Serbia consistently keeps away from all military conflicts and persistently preaches peace," "Sportski Jurnal" quoted Vazura as saying.
We would like to remind you that before the match with Dinamo, Partizan visited Moscow, where they played friendly matches with local Dynamo, CSKA and Lokomotiv.
