The famous journalist Mykola Neseniuk shared his memories of the 1994/95 Champions League match between Dynamo Kyiv and Spartak Moscow (3:2).

Mykola Neseniuk

"The first-round match of the 1994-95 UEFA Champions League group stage between Dynamo Kyiv and Spartak Moscow, which took place in September in Kyiv, was, in my opinion, one of the most memorable in the team's history since independence. Thirty years have passed, but the details of that game, full of unprecedented drama, are still recalled as if it were yesterday.

How can you forget the hopelessly lost first half (0:2 - ed.) after which a football miracle happened - Dynamo scored three times and won. And Serhiy Rebrov's winning goal seems to be something you can watch forever, reliving those unforgettable emotions over and over again! Those who did not see it can watch the game again, which is freely available.

We are rightly proud of that long-ago victory, which showed the full strength of Dynamo's character. That match will forever remain one of the most colorful pages in the history of our football!

Over the years, it was somehow forgotten that after that victory, Dynamo lost the remaining matches in the group and took the last place. This has been forgotten, but the victory over Spartak in the fall of 1994 will never be forgotten!" Neseniuk wrote on his Facebook page.
