On Friday, August 16, Dynamo U-19 played a match of the 3rd round of the Ukrainian Youth Championship. Ihor Kostiuk's wards met with Lviv's Karpaty. This match, like the two previous ones, was an away match for our team and took place on the field of the SKIF stadium in Lviv.

It will be recalled that in the first round, Karpaty drew away to Veres (2:2), and in the second round they defeated Kryvbas at home (4:1). "Dynamo first defeated Oleksandriya away (2:0) and then drew with Veres (1:1).
Dynamo started the match confidently and seized the initiative from the first minutes. They began to put pressure on the opponent's goal, made a corner and a flank cross to the penalty area. At first, the goalkeeper and the home team's defenders managed to fight back. In addition, after another standard position, Zakharchenko headed over the crossbar. Andriyko made good crosses from the flank, and Matkevych scored from outside the penalty area into the goalkeeper's hands. In short, the tension at Lviv's goal gradually increased and soon resulted in a goal: Salenko brought Gerich one-on-one with the goalkeeper with a great pass, and he confidently converted his opportunity - 0: 1.
Soon Karpaty had an opportunity to respond no less effectively, but Sydun was offside after a cross from deep in the box, and Surkis managed to save his header. Due to the hot weather, the match referee took a short break in each of the halves so that the players of both teams could drink water and freshen up.
In the middle of the first half, Matkevych had a promising chance: he passed the ball, moved to the center and struck a shot from 14 meters out, which was blocked by Lviv defenders. At the end of the half, the visitors made another sharp attack on the left flank with Osypenko and Matkevych, but after Dykyi's cross to the far post, the ball flew out of bounds. However, before the half-time whistle, Dynamo achieved their goal. Salenko unexpectedly struck a beautiful shot from outside the penalty area into the top corner, and Domchak did not have time to react - 0: 2. With that, the teams went to the break.
At the beginning of the second half, the visitors earned a dangerous free kick 22 meters from the goal for a violation of the rules against Matkevich - Osipenko shot just over. Soon after, Dykyi ventured a long-range shot, which also went over the crossbar. In general, Dynamo's attacks were regular, and almost every one of them carried a threat. "Karpaty responded with standard set pieces, in particular, after a free kick Tlumak failed to beat Surkis.
At the end of the match, Lucin could have made it a big score, but sent the ball just over the goal. As for the hosts, they had their best chance to reduce the deficit from a free kick 20 meters from the goal, but after Skorokhod's shot on goal, Surkis managed to knock the ball out for a corner. Already in stoppage time, Karpaty were left in the minority - Burenko received a red card for a foul against Romanyuk, and Dynamo's shot by Skorokhod was saved by the post! But the score did not change until the final whistle.
It should be noted that Dynamo U-19 will play its next match in the youth championship at home: in a week, on August 23, our team will host Vorskla Poltava in Round 4.
