APOEL is trying to complete the transfer of Verbic

Former Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Benjamin Verbic, who is now a player of Greek Panathinaikos, has a hope to get out of the deadlocked situation he found himself in at the start of the current season.

Recall that the 30-year-old winger was excluded from all of his club's bids in mid-summer and notified that he was not part of Panathinaikos head coach Diego Alonso's plans.

Verbic's attempts to find a new club for a long time did not yield anything, but in recent days in the services of the Slovenian interested in the Cypriot APOEL, which has already come to Panathinaikos with the first proposal for the transfer of the ex-Dynamo, but was rejected - the Greek club wanted a higher amount of payoff for his player than the Cypriots offered.

According to Greek media, APOEL is not abandoning the idea of signing Verbic and does not rule out the option of his lease, but the Cypriot club has little time left, as the summer transfer window in Greece closes next Wednesday, September 11.

We would like to add that Verbic's contract with Panathinaikos runs until next summer. According to Transefrmarkt, the current transfer value of the Slovenian is 2 million euros.
