UPL decision on Ingulets stadium: details

As previously reported, today's online meeting of UPL clubs discussed the official statement of Ingulets president Oleksandr Povorozniuk about his team's withdrawal from the Ukrainian championship if the stadium in Petrovo is not allowed to organize the match of the 6th round against Chornomorets.

According to TaToTake, the Premier League executives offered to speak to all the clubs and did not find unanimous acceptance of the situation. According to the source, 7 out of 16 clubs (not counting Ingulets, which would not vote against itself) abstained or refused to support the radical decision.

Notably, Ingulets was represented not by the club's president or director, but by its head coach Vasyl Kobin. The meeting was also attended by the heads of the relevant UAF committees.

As a result, Ingulets was offered to play on September 14 against Chornomorets either at the reserve stadium Girnyk in Kryvyi Rih or in Odesa, which was announced before the start of the season. And to use the next two weeks to resolve documentary issues regarding the club's stadium, namely, to obtain a certificate of compliance of the sports facility with technical standards (issued by the State Inspectorate of Architecture and Urban Planning of Ukraine).

Without this certificate, which is updated annually, the stadium cannot be put into operation and the arena cannot receive the appropriate category from the UAF.

Ingulets has until 2 p.m. tomorrow to make a decision. Otherwise, the team will be withdrawn from the Premier League tournament, and its further status will be considered by the UAF.
