The Association of Sports Journalists of Ukraine sent an official letter to the President of the Ukrainian Premier League Yevhen Dykyi, in which it emphasized the fact of openly offensive and brutal statements made by the President of Ingulets Oleksandr Povorozniuk in response to a question from the journalist of the Dniproynyn project, a member of the ASJU, Ihor Lysenko.
Oleksandr HlyvynskyiASJU President Oleksandr Hlyvynskyi appealed to the head of the UPL to provide a legal assessment of the statements of the club official, a member of the Ukrainian Premier League, Oleksandr Povorozniuk, and to apply appropriate sanctions for insulting the honor and dignity of a journalist.
"We think it is unnecessary to say that such a manner of behavior and communication is unacceptable and immoral not only in the plane of "journalist - interlocutor" but also in the context of communication between any members of society," the letter reads, in particular.
