After the match of the 7th round of the Ukrainian championship between Chornomorets and Karpaty in Odesa, the press conference of Lviv head coach Vladyslav Lupashko began with an unpleasant topic - the shouts heard by the visiting team from the spectators.
Lupashko said: "I understand that there are many different people, and you can't treat Odesa fans the way I want to say - harshly. But what some fans were shouting... You can't do that. We have a united country. Now all regions of Ukraine are one, so this cannot be allowed. We all talk about racism, but such things are no better than racism."
Vladyslav Lupashko did not specify what exactly was said from the stands. But according to Sport.UA, in addition to chanting in support of Chornomorets, the fans also shouted at the visiting team: "Banderites!" This angered the representatives of the Lviv team.
It is not yet known for certain whether Karpaty will leave this fact on the conscience of the grief-stricken speakers or will signal to the country's football governing bodies that such things are unacceptable.
