Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher supported the ex-manager of Merseyside, Jürgen Klopp, who was previously appointed as the global head of football for “Red Bull.” It’s worth noting that a number of German fans condemned the 57-year-old specialist for his work within the “Red Bull” system.
“I think this criticism is complete nonsense. He is a coach of a certain type, a man of the people. In Germany, they look at football differently. But does Klopp now have to adhere to the ideals of ‘Mainz’ and Dortmund's ‘Borussia’ for the rest of his days? If someone offers us enough money, we would all probably do the same. Klopp hasn’t become a coach. He controls something, speaks to people, attends meetings, goes to a few games, and, given everything, he is paid a lot of money for this.
If Klopp's critics dislike the ‘Red Bull’ model so much, then why did ‘Borussia’ buy Haaland? If you are so against their model, then don’t trade players with them.
