Former FIFA referee Myroslav Stupar commented on a game incident in the 22nd minute of the Europa League match between Roma and Dynamo (1:0), which ended with a penalty awarded against the Kyiv team.
— The current season will be long remembered for Dynamo defender Taras Mikhaiko, who has already scored two own goals. Still, there can be justification for this: a ricochet, an unfortunate incident.
However, Mikhaiko's action in the 22nd minute of the match against Roma is incomprehensible to me. The home player Tommaso Baldanci had pushed the ball into the penalty area without any threat, as there were enough Kyiv footballers around. But for some reason, Mikhaiko was holding the Italian by the shirt.
The referee was nearby and rightly awarded the penalty. I think I am not the only one who got the impression that the Kyiv player committed the foul intentionally.
It was precisely due to this foul that Artem Dovbik gave Roma the lead by converting the penalty, — said the expert.
