Today, former goalkeeper of Kyiv's Dynamo, Vitaliy Reva, celebrates his 50th anniversary. The honoree was congratulated by UEFA honorary member Hryhoriy Surkis.
Dear Vitaliy Hryhorovych!
Allow me to congratulate you on your bright 50th anniversary and sincerely wish you happiness, health, prosperity, and career success!
At the beginning of the second millennium, through your hard work and exceptional talent, you caught the attention of the coaches of the giant of Ukrainian football — Kyiv's Dynamo. You had the opportunity to play under the great Valeriy Lobanovskyi and later became an important player in the capital team. As part of the "white-blues," you won the championship and the Cup of Ukraine, proved your skills in Champions League matches, and defended the honor of the country in the ranks of the national team.
Fans remember you as a cool-headed, steadfast goalkeeper who had a lightning-fast reaction, felt equally confident on the goal line and during exits, and was also a true specialist in saving penalties. And most importantly — you always placed team success above your own ambitions.
The new generations of Ukrainian players have gained in you a qualified and flexible mentor who inspired his proteges, including through your own example. Your coaching work at the club level and at the national level deserves great respect.
May luck continue to accompany you, and may the faith in yourself never exhaust! Peace, harmony, and love — to you and your loved ones.
And to all of us — a united and desired Victory!
Hryhoriy Surkis
