Chernomorets" may be sold

The Odessa "Chernomorets" may change its owners in the near future, journalist Mikhail Spivakovsky reported.

“On the eve of the match against 'Alexandria' (held on December 1 as part of the 15th round of the Ukrainian championship, — ed. note), the players of 'Chernomorets' were paid their salary for September. The only way to save the situation may be the sale of the club. According to my information, such a process is underway, and it is quite serious.

This does not concern the company 'Allrise Capital Incorporated', which owns the 'Chernomorets' stadium and holds the women's team 'Sisters'. The potential buyer is a company related to the gambling business and has a large department in Ukraine. However, this company has roots from another country. And it seems to me that no super-genius deduction is needed to come up with a fairly logical version. My version is that the company in question is Vbet.

According to my information, the financial terms of a possible agreement are as follows. The buyer will cover all of 'Chernomorets' current debts, which are substantial, and will also pay 5 million euros in currency. But as of now, the negotiations are a little frozen. There was some complicated audit of debts and the club's assets. The reason for the freeze is the lack of understanding of clear figures, as well as constant changes in terms from the owners of 'Chernomorets'. Right now the chances that the deal will be finalized are 30 to 70, or 40 to 60 at best,” Spivakovsky said during a broadcast on the YouTube channel 'TaToTake'.
