“I am very motivated!” — Roman Grigorchuk on his appointment as head coach of LNZ

Famous Ukrainian coach Roman Grigorchuk commented on his appointment as the mentor of Cherkasy LNZ.

“Of course, I really wanted to return to Ukraine. My departure to Azerbaijan (this year Grigorchuk coached Baku's “Neftchi”, — ed. note) was unplanned and undesirable. Perhaps it was more of a coincidence. But now I am back in Ukraine and I am very glad about it.

As for LNZ, I really liked the conversation and communication with the club's management because I heard such important, interesting things that we think alike, we look at things the same way. First of all, it’s ambitions. Secondly, understanding what needs to be done to achieve these results. Here, the smart ambitious approach comes first. I think we have an interesting path ahead. A lot of work, but this work is fascinating, and I am very motivated.

The first thing we will start with is studying and assessing the capabilities of each player. Overall, we want to achieve that ideal picture where there is a result (which, of course, comes first in every game), and at the same time, this result is achieved through interesting play, football that people enjoy. After all, we play football not for ourselves. We understand that the result is very important, but football is a social phenomenon,” — said Grigorchuk in a comment to LNZ's press service.

После ухода из Черноморца, когда он клялся верности клубу буквально за пару недель до ухода, не верю Григорчуку. Теже слова звучали, когда принял Черноморец и Нефтчи.
