In recent days, the topic of the positive doping test of Chelsea and Ukraine national team player Mykhailo Mudryk has been surrounded by various versions, assumptions, and rumors. Former coach of Kyiv Dynamo and the Ukrainian national team, Yozhef Sabo, shared his thoughts on this.
— We’ve never had anything like this in our time, — he said. — I’ve thought about it, and here’s what I think. Perhaps there are some “enthusiasts” who don’t like something about the football player, and they think: how can we get rid of him without paying a lot of money, his salary? Anything is possible. In the case of a four-year disqualification, nothing will need to be paid. That’s how things are.
— Do you have other versions?
— The second option is related to the player himself. Mudryk is a young guy who became rich. He has money, so friends and girls appeared — and he may have taken something like that. But this is just a supposition, not a statement. However, there will be a second doping test — and God grant that Mykhailo comes out of this situation. He hired a lawyer, and I don’t want to guess about the further course of events. To be honest, I wouldn’t want Mudryk to be out of football for four years.
