Former Romanian footballer Florin Cernat recalled the story of the disappearance of the father of his former partner at Kyiv’s Dynamo, Tiberiu Gioane.
When Gioane was just 8 years old, his father, a race car driver, went to a race in Austria, after which no one could even find his car.
“The story about the disappearance of Gioane’s father is a complete mystery. Even Ukrainian services intervened at that time, but they couldn't find anything. And Gioane was in shock.
Later, Tibi himself had health issues as well. When we arrived with Dynamo in Portugal for training, Gioane left for Romania for a couple of days on some important business. And when he returned, he didn’t feel well (Gioane had a stroke, — note. ed.).
He was hospitalized in a clinic in Portugal. His mother and sister arrived and stayed with him. He underwent treatment and recovered after about a year. As far as I can tell, he is doing fine now,” said Cernat as quoted by "iAM Sport".
