Famous Ukrainian goalkeeper and coach Volodymyr Tsitkin shared his thoughts with “UF” about the Tsygankov family, which is connected to him through Vinnytsia.
— Ukrainian national team player Victor Tsygankov grew up in Vinnytsia. Our city gave him a path to big football, and his coach was the legendary “Niva” goalkeeper Mykola Zahoruyko.
Victor loves Vinnytsia very much, his wife is from our city. As far as I know, they come to the city on the Bug from time to time. However, Tsygankov rarely appears at mass events in Vinnytsia since he lives and works abroad, in Spain. This is understandable; he is one of the stars of “Girona” and the Ukrainian national team.
Victor's father Vitaliy Tsygankov is a wonderful person and a good former goalkeeper who grew up and played in Vinnytsia. Vitaliy grew up without a father. I know his mother personally; they lived in the “Vyshenka” district,” said Volodymyr Borysovych.
