“Dynamo” might not have controlled the game from the first minutes, but they managed to transfer the game to the “Kolos” half. By the 15th minute of the match, the Kyiv team had a chance to open the scoring: Pikhalenok made an excellent pass to Voloshin, putting him in a striking position on the right side of the Kovalivka penalty area, but he decided not to shoot at the goal and instead passed, hitting the opponent directly.

However, this episode remained the only sharp moment at “Kolos” goal for a long time. But the Dynamo team converted their next scoring opportunity: in the 31st minute of the match, Rubchynsky, receiving a high pass from Brazhko in the left side of the penalty area, assisted Vanat, who then flicked the ball to Pikhalenok, who fired a strike from about 12 meters into the net - 1:0.

Shortly after, the home team was close to extending their success. First, Vanat completed a “Dynamo” attack with a shot unimpeded from the same left side of the “Kolos” penalty area, but in this situation, Gorokh managed to save his team. And in the 39th minute of the game, Pikhalenok, connecting with a side pass, struck from about 8 meters, hitting the crossbar.

As a result, “Dynamo” finished the current season of the Ukrainian championship in first place with a 5-point lead over “Alexandria”, which became the silver medalist. The bronze medalist of the championship, “Shakhtar”, trailed the champion by 10 points.

The next Ukrainian championship will start on August 2 (the base day of the 1st round), but for “Dynamo” the 2025/26 season will begin earlier: on July 22/23, the “white-blues” will play their first match of the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League.
