Italian league season 2022/23 may start later than originally planned. Unusually hot weather interferes with football plans.
Now the average temperature in Italy is about 36 degrees Celsius (of course, in the shade), and the country's football authorities are concerned about how one can play in such conditions.
According to the calendar plan for the upcoming season, the next Italian championship should start on August 13, however, according to Serie A President Lorenzo Casini, it is too early to say that everything will go according to plan.
“If the current temperature continues, it will be impossible to start the championship on August 13th. Of course, this will add complexity to the upcoming season, which is already anomalous due to the timing of the World Cup. (November - December of this year, - ed.)”, — quotes the words of Casini Football Italia.
