Shakhtar Donetsk plans to play part of the matches of the next season's Ukrainian Championship in Poland. Earlier it became known that the Pitmen's home matches in the Champions League will be held in Warsaw.
Yury Sviridov, director for strategy and communications of the club, told the Polish media about Shakhtar's plans:
“As far as we know, the UPL championship should start on August 23-24. We are going to start the season in Kyiv, play 1-2 matches there. Later we plan to perform in Lviv. Some meetings may also take place in Warsaw,” Sviridov said.
Recall that earlier the government of Ukraine gave permission for the new UPL season, but all matches must be held on the territory of Ukraine.
