On August 6-7, in the mountain town of Putila, under the auspices of the Football Association of the Chernivtsi Region, another Football Tournament in memory of the outstanding Ukrainian football player Andrii Husin was held for the ninth time.

For nine years in a row, Putylshchyna has honored the memory of its famous compatriot, and the tournament has long since become not regional, but interregional. In its framework, not only Bukovy residents compete, but also representatives of other regions of Ukraine.

This year, the Tournament was a charity one, and all the money from the entry fees went to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Eight youth teams born in 2006-08 took part in the competition. The Carpathian region was presented by "Sokil" from Putila, "Koniatynska OTG" Chernivtsi region), FC "Karpaty" Kuta and the Youth Sports School of Verkhovyna (Ivano-Frankivsk region), while from Chernivtsi the Youth Football Club "Sparta", Youth Sports School "Bukovyna" came to the tournament. FC Fazenda and FC Chernivtsi.

During the first day of the competition, on Saturday, August 6, the group stage matches took place. The two best teams from each group advanced to the semi-finals, which were scheduled for the next day. "Sparta" from Chernivtsi and "Sokil" from Putila advanced to the semifinals from Group 1, and "Bukovyna" and "Karpaty" from Kuty were delegated to the best quartet from Group 2.

In the first semi-final, "Karpaty" met "Sparta". Here, the winner was determined with the help of post-match penalties, because during the forty minutes of the game, neither team managed to score at least one ball. The team from Kuty won by penalty 5:4.

The second semi-final match took place according to a different scenario. "Bukovyna" from Chernivtsi confidently defeated the hosts of the competition - "Sokil" from Putil - with a score of 4:0, however, as in the final, they did not leave any chance to "Karpaty" from Kutiv, which they defeated with a score of 3:0. In the end, it was "Bukovyna" that deservedly took first place at the tournament and took home the cup of the winner of the Andrii Husin Memorial Tournament-2022. "Silver" medals - FC "Karpaty" from Kuty, Ivano-Frankivsk region.

In the "consolation" final - the game for 3rd place - "Sparta" from Chernivtsi defeated the local "Sokil" for the second time in a row at these competitions, moreover, with the same score - 3:1 and won the "bronze" awards of the tournament. However, I would also like to compliment the "Sokolyats": the team from Putila showed a very good game during both competition days and a great desire to succeed. Without a doubt, this team has pretty good prospects if they continue to practice and gain the necessary game experience.

The best players in the semi-final teams were recognized as:

"Bukovyna" Chernivtsi Secondary School - Mykola Maslii

FC "Karpaty" Kuta - Ivan Ignatiuk

FC "Sparta" Chernivtsi - Eduard Tsar

"Falcon" Putil - Petro Korpan

The quartet of the best teams received cups and medals from the regional Football Association, and the day before, each participating team also received a set of soccer balls from the AFCHO. In addition, during the awarding ceremony of the tournament, the director of the Putila stadium "Karpaty" named after Andrii Husin Mykhailo Kozyan was awarded the AFCHO honorary award.
