One of the coaches of Dnipro-1, Valeriy Gorodov, told what he expects from the match of his team against the Dutch AZ in the 1st round of the group stage of the Conference League, which will be held today in Slovakian Kosice.
“We know that AZ has extensive experience in such matches — the team plays in European competitions almost every year. We know that our opponent loves positional attacks and keeps the ball, has a good attacking potential. We are in for a difficult game, because our team is just being formed and does not have such experience.
We respect the AZ team, but we are not afraid. We also have a mindset, we also need to win and score points. Therefore, I have no doubt that an interesting game awaits everyone.
Does the war affect team players? Everything influences. It's very hard. We are not at home, who are without a family. It's very hard...," Gorodov said at a pre-match press conference.
