"When you come to play at the World Cup, you can't lose the opening match of the tournament. More experienced teams such as England and France played well in the first round. These are teams that were mentally prepared, focused on the tournament and not on political actions," The Athletic quoted Wenger as saying.
The 73-year-old specialist alludes to the German national team, which in the first round lost to the Japanese national team (1:2).
