Football expert Oleksandr Sopko is “pleasantly surprised” by the transfer activity of Dnipro-1 in the winter off-season.
Alexander Sopko- "Dnepr-1" was a pleasant surprise in the fall. But, the team's bench is short. Maintaining the pace over a long distance with so many performers is not easy. Dnepr-1 definitely needs to strengthen its roster.
Taking into account the fact that no one has yet arrived at the UPL club from abroad, the Dniprians are looking for a reserve in Ukraine. Therefore, the signing of Yevgeny Pasich was not at all surprising. However, this transfer is not for the Champions League, with all due respect to Pasic. The same applies to the possible newcomers of Dnipro-1 from Metalist. To increase competition in the second part of the season and rotation, these performers are suitable, but not for solving serious problems.
I think that in the summer, given whether Dnipro-1 manages to become the champion of Ukraine, the club will start another transfer campaign. Then Yevgeny Krasnikov with his good connections in Latin America will actively join the business. Dnipro-1 will then be equipped for the Champions League, the expert believes.
