The French Football Federation has announced the resignation of Noel Le Grae from the post of president after his disparaging remarks towards Zinedine Zidane, informs RMC Sport.

Le Gre's comments regarding the possibility of appointing Zinedine Zidane as the head coach of the national team caused widespread criticism in France and Europe. The former boss said he "wouldn't even pick up the phone" if Zidane called.
Le Gre's hasty apology was not enough for the federation, who quickly decided to resign. Vice President Philip Diallo has been appointed acting chairman.
