FIFA agent Igor Krivenko spoke about rumors regarding the acquisition of Cypriot clubs by the owners of football clubs in Ukraine.
“There are rumors that the presidents of Ukrainian clubs have bought two or three football clubs in Cyprus from the lower leagues. I don't have exact data, but the locals told me about it. There is a war going on in Ukraine, and capital is leaving the country, spreading throughout Europe. Some rich people are not averse to doing business in Cyprus," Krivenko quotes fanday.
The specialist also added that the Cypriot championship, as a commercial product, is successful: “Here, only from the sale of TV rights, a club can earn at least 600,000 euros per season.”
