The well-known Ukrainian poet Boris Oliynyk once said: “Kyiv Dynamo is the coat of arms of Ukraine.” And indeed, the Dynamo capital is the most titled club in our country. 13-time champions and 9-time former USSR Cup winners, 16-time champions, 13-time Cup winners and 9-time Ukrainian Super Cup winners.
Dynamo (Kyiv) is a two-time winner of the Cup Winners' Cup (1975 and 1986), the UEFA Super Cup (1975).
Three strikers of the Kyiv club - Oleg Blokhin (1975), Igor Belanov (1986) and Andriy Shevchenko (2004) - became the owners of the Golden Ball. Yuri Voinov - European champion in 1960, Alexei Mikhailichenko - Olympic champion in 1988. Dynamo also became winners of many representative international tournaments.
