Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte has said that Spurs fans are running out of patience as pressure on the Italian grows amid calls for his dismissal.
"The fans have run out of patience. They want to win trophies. And we feel it. I feel it. The players feel it. Of course, this does not help the situation. There are many players, even young ones, who need to go step by step to grow. We're trying to create something important, but if you don't have patience, it's not productive," Conte was quoted as saying by Goal.
Conte is expected to leave Tottenham when his contract expires at the end of this season, despite the fact that the club has the option to extend his contract for another 12 months. After being eliminated from the FA Cup and the Champions League in the same week, the 53-year-old may well lose his job before the end of the current campaign.
